Plasma technologies

Electric heat at plasma temperatures, instead of fossil fuel

Diovis offers three-phase AC plasma torches from 60 to 600 kW as a low-carbon alternative to fuel-fired heating. Power can be adjusted without switching the torch off, and the process runs on electricity instead of delivered fuel.

The torch

Three-phase AC plasma torch

  • Power range 60–600 kW
  • Thermal power adjustable without switching the torch off
  • Runs on standard industrial-frequency electricity
  • Less flue gas than combustion, so smaller gas cleaning
  • Full automation as an option

Applications

Where plasma heat pays off

Methane pyrolysis

Hydrogen without direct CO₂, with saleable carbon black as the by-product.

Hydrogen preheating

For CO₂-neutral direct-reduction routes in steelmaking.

Waste gasification

Industrial and municipal waste to clean syngas, with a vitrified slag usable in construction.

Syngas cleaning

Cracking tars before downstream synthesis.

Medical waste and sewage sludge

Full decomposition of organics and complete disinfection.

Vitrification

Inert, stable glass for low-level contaminated waste.
